New Star Trek trailer!

Finally it's here!

The Japanese trailed had a few extra seconds of a very indicative scene...

First of all, it's going to be beautiful. I would love to be able to see this in IMAX format. The shots and scenery look amazing.

As for the plot (and villain!) the blond woman does look a lot like Elizabeth Dehner. So perhaps it is Gary Mitchell after all? OTOH, the glass barrier scene clearly echoes TWoK, even if nothing else fits.

I also thought I recognised the "Enjoy your final moments of peace" line, but I can't place it right now.

Cumbervillain also seems to be operating all on his own, which doesn't exactly fit with Khan.

Cumbervillain's "Is there anything you wouldn't do for your family" line seems to be about Kirk, but the tone of his voice could mean he thinks about his own situation. The Japanese subtitles say "humanity's biggest weakness is love", but I don't know if that indicates that Cumbervillain sees himself as something other than human or if it's just a case of the translation being too loose.



Apparently a nine minute extra long trailer will be released on the 14th (in IMAX format!) and I can't wait to see that as well!

Ahhhhh so excited! This is all so awesome :DDD I didn't think I would take to Cumbervillain was it were but, I like what I see in the trailer to be fair!

I hope you won't be disappointed by him in the film itself! I already like his acting a lot, so I was already positive about it, haha.

True, true, but they may be saying it to mislead? The suspense is killing me, I'll be a wreck by May.
