I thought it was the coolest thing ever when we were writing it, the idea of doing a 'lost episode' of The Next Generation, but they're going to the holodeck to look back at Enterprise, Rick and I thought was a great sendoff to Star Trek [the franchise as it existed in 2005], and it didn't work out so well...It was a kind of a slap in the face to the Enterprise actors. I heard it from everybody, it was the only time Scott Bakula was ever mean to me. I regret it.

from what i've seen & heard scott bakula is a ridiculously nice guy so for him to be "mean" to someone is a major thing.

Oh wow it's been forever since I last watched Enterprise, but I definitely remembered that terrible episode. It was so badly put together and how Trip's sudden death was just thrown in like "Okay he's dead, onto the next thing!"

Everything about that last episode was vile - and B&B deserve all the blame. I'm so glad to hear at least one of the actors gave them grief for being such clueless (and/or spiteful) dicks.

Time for a re-watch of Quantum Leap. :-)
